To our potential surrogate,
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to learn about us. The fact that you are considering helping someone build their family through surrogacy speaks to an incredible level of generosity, compassion, and selflessness.
We are K and C, and we have been building our life together for the last 6 years. What began as a long-distance relationship between Charlotte and Raleigh eventually led to a proposal in Charleston and a life together that we are incredibly grateful for.
Today, we enjoy many of the simple things in life. We love traveling, trying new restaurants and recipes, working on projects around our home, spending time in our yard and garden, caring for our dog and chickens, and making memories with family and friends. We have worked hard to build a home filled with love, stability, and support, and we have always dreamed of sharing that life with a child.
Like many intended parents, our path to growing our family has not been the one we originally imagined. After experiencing a miscarriage and beginning our IVF journey, we learned that C had a medical concern that would need to be surgically removed before we could move forward. At the time, we were hopeful because it felt like we had finally found an answer.
Unfortunately, the surgery led to severe Asherman's Syndrome, and our journey became much more complicated than we anticipated. If there is one thing to know about C, it's that she is incredibly determined. She approached infertility the same way she approaches every challenge in life—with persistence, optimism, and a refusal to give up. Over the years, she underwent more than 15 hysteroscopies, including traveling out of state to see one of the leading specialists in the country, always hoping the next procedure would bring us one step closer to becoming parents.
Along the way, we experienced five miscarriages. Each pregnancy brought renewed hope and excitement, and each loss brought heartbreak. While those experiences were some of the most difficult moments of our lives, they also revealed just how strong we are as a couple and how deeply we want to become parents.
This journey has tested us in ways we never expected, but it has also strengthened our relationship and deepened our appreciation for the family we hope to build. Through every setback, our dream of becoming parents has never changed. If anything, it has only grown stronger. We are incredibly grateful for the path that has led us to surrogacy and for the possibility of partnering with someone who can help us make that dream a reality.
When we think about the future, it is often the everyday moments that excite us the most. We look forward to family vacations in Emerald Isle, picking out a live Christmas tree during the holidays, cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, teaching a child how to garden and collect chicken eggs, sharing our love of travel, and even making family Costco trips an adventure. These are the moments and traditions we can't wait to experience as a family. Above all, we hope to raise a child in a home where they always feel safe, supported, encouraged, and loved unconditionally.
We hope to have a relationship with our surrogate that is built on trust, respect, gratitude, and open communication. We are naturally a bit more private by nature, but we deeply value honesty and connection throughout the journey. Our goal is to create a relationship that feels comfortable and positive for everyone involved while ensuring our surrogate always feels appreciated and supported.
There are not enough words to express what your gift would mean to us. The opportunity to become parents is something we have dreamed about for a very long time, and the possibility of someone helping us make that dream a reality is truly humbling. We know that surrogacy requires strength, sacrifice, and compassion, and we would never take that for granted.
Thank you for considering families like ours. Whether or not our paths ultimately cross, we hope you know how much respect and admiration we have for the women who make this journey possible. We wish you all the best and are grateful you took the time to get to know a little about us and the family we hope to build.
Sincerely,
K & C
